The small school for bright futures

Our team weaves the intricate fabric of daily life at the International School Groningen. This tightly knit environment offers plenty of opportunities to share and cultivate original ideas, build supportive relationships with colleagues and students, and shape the atmosphere at school.

ISG is committed to the academic excellence of its students and their overall wellbeing. We believe in transparent and open communication with parents and promote collaborations between teachers. Our teaching staff enjoys high levels of trust and the freedom to act creatively, to bring out the very best of each student.

From time to time, we publish vacancies on our website or social media channels. If you would like to become a part of our international team of expert educators, please note the following criteria for application:

  • Non-EU/EEA citizens need a valid work visa or residence permit to work in the Netherlands. For EU/EEA citizens, this is not required, but registration with local authorities is still necessary.

  • If your qualifications are from outside the Netherlands, you may need to get them recognised by DUO (Dienst Uitvoering Onderwijs), the Dutch education executive agency. They assess foreign diplomas and determine if they meet Dutch standards.

  • You need a recognised teaching qualification. This can be either a Bachelor’s degree (to teach MYP) or a Master’s degree (to teach DP) together with a Dutch recognised teaching credential/educational degree for secondary education.

Open applications can be sent to info@isgroningen.nl.
