Many ISG pupils voted today in the model Dutch elections which was organised by the civics department of MaartensCollege. A large number of Dutch secondary schools have organised a model Dutch general elections and ISG pupils got a taste of how democracy works.
In class pupils asked questions about what would happen after tomorrow's national general election. Staff were very impressed with how serious pupils were about voting and their knowledge of Dutch politics, politicians and political parties.
Election results : the turnout was 1011 votes with D66 being biggest party followed by Groenlinks, vvd and then pvv.
