On Friday 14 September the annual IB Diploma Award Ceremony took place. Sixteen proud DP students received their IB Diplomas.
The Wim Koopman Award 2012 went to Leonie Hondeborg, not only because of her excellent performance in the DP but also because of all the voluntary work she did after school hours, bridging the gap between students of Maartens College and the International School.
The Rudy Voordes Math Award was awarded to Richard Mak, not only for his outstanding development and excellent exam results, but also for his enthusiasm to share his knowledge and help those who needed extra help.
After the Ceremony students and their families, friends and teachers raised their glasses to celebrate their success and wish them all the best in their future careers.

Results from the 2012 International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme examination session were issued on the 5th July with over 119,000 students across the world receiving their diplomas or course results, an increase of over 8,000 from 2011.
On average, across the world, Diploma students scored 29.83 with 109 achieving the maximum score of 45 points. Internationally, pass rates for 2012 are 78.16%.
At the ISG, 16 of the 17 Diploma students achieved the full diploma, a pass rate of 94%, with one student missing it by just one point short in the HL subjects. On average, the students scored 31 points, with a highest score of 38 from the maximum 45.
In the ‘fast lane’ English A2 certificate all 22 students passed, achieving a grade 5 or 6, from the maximum 7, many of which were also in the very challenging higher level paper.
Overall, an excellent result, of which all students, staff and parents can be very proud.
